(CALL FOR SCORES)
The Massachusetts Music Creators Forum provides free-lance and independent music composers, arrangers, orchestrators and songwriters based in Massachusetts with an ongoing opportunity to share their original works of music with each other and with the public. The Forum invites and welcomes the participation of music creators of all ages, genres and media platforms.
The Forum is reaching out to Massachusetts based music creators to inform them of an opportunity to debut one or more of their original piano scores at a premiere public performance held on April 5, 2025, at the Plymouth Public Library, Plymouth, MA. The performance will be held in the library’s Fehlow Room (250 seat capacity) from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m.
During the performance each music creator will be given approximately ten minutes to discuss their work with a live audience and have their original piano score performed by internationally acclaimed composer Yanfan Xu www.yangfanxu.com (music creators may perform their own score if they wish). If the score features a soloist other than piano, then the music creator is required to provide their own accompaniment. All scores will be reviewed and a total of ten (10) music creators will be selected to have their original work performed.
If you are interested in showcasing your original music at the above event, please submit your original piano score (not to exceed seven (7) minutes in duration) with a recording (if possible) to bearberrypathmusic@gmail.com by no later than February 17, 2025. If you have any questions or need additional information, please send your inquiry to the above email address. Decisions will be rendered and shared with applicants by no later than March 3, 2025.
The Massachusetts Music Creators Forum looks forward to hearing from you.
