About Bob
Bob Harris, America’s Hometown Composer, is a life-long musician, composer, arranger, band and choir director, music producer, and educator. Bob earned his bachelor’s degree in music from Berklee College in Boston, and holds a master’s degree in music from Michigan State University. Bob is currently the CEO of Bearberry Path Music.
Plymouth On My Mind- About the Album
Bob’s music can best be described as eclectic, eccentric, and electric. His latest album Plymouth On My Mind, draws upon Bob’s broad palette of musical tastes, as well as his unique and unconventional compositional style to create an album that evokes the natural beauty of the cranberry bogs and the easy going lifestyle in Plymouth, Massachusetts.
Bob’s album is a tasteful blend of 21 of his original instrumental compositions covering a wide-range of musical styles and genres. Produced by Brian Brodeur of East Main Media and recorded at the legendary Sound on Sound Studios, the album features performances by an outstanding cast of NYC metro area session players, including Tobias Ralph on drums (Drummerworld – “Top 500 Drummers.”).

The Manomet Bird Observatory located in Plymouth, MA, is a world leader in protecting flyways for shorebirds in the western hemisphere. Bob was invited to present the 'Migration Suite' from his new album, Plymouth On My Mind, at Manomet's annual international conference held in Plymouth, MA on June 2, 2022. The suite, featuring three movements - 'Taking Flight,' 'The Journey,' and 'Arrival,' is Bob's musical interpretation of a bird's annual rite of passage from a bird's-eye perspective. An article about Bob, his music and the 'Migration Suite' is featured on Manomet's website. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of Bob's CD is donated to organizations, such as Manomet, that are dedicated to wildlife preservation.
Plymouth On My Mind has reached international audiences in the UK and Canada. The album and America's Hometown Composer, Bob Harris, have been featured by Sean Kearns. Sean Kearns is a contemporary singer/songwriter and music producer based in the UK. Not only does Sean promote his own music on his website, he also promotes the music of other up and coming Indie artists. When Sean heard Bob's new album, Plymouth On My Mind, he immediately contacted Bob to ask him for permission to feature the album on his website.
